The same passion inspired Georges Beuchat when he created the brand that motivates the women and men of Beuchat today and every day. The passion for the sea, and for sports, the passion to imagine and create the gear that enable each of us to get the most out of our favourite aquatic sports, whether underwater diving, free diving, snorkelling, spearfishing or outdoor swimming.

Innovation

Innovation is a founding value of the Beuchat brand. Georges Beuchat was a prolific inventor who made his eponymous company into a pioneer of underwater sports equipment, in particular through two major innovations:

underwater speargun in 1947 and above all the first wetsuit in 1953. This second invention was truly revolutionary, leading directly to huge growth in all underwater activities and laying the foundations that allowed Beuchat to become the benchmark brand in thermal protection.
